What we publish

Our calculators show the formulas, grade-point scales, credit weighting, and worked examples behind each result. Guides are written as educational starting points and link to official institutional sources when they discuss school-specific policies or dates.

How the calculators are built

Each calculator uses a published grade-point table and the credit-weighted average that registrars commonly describe: grade points multiplied by credits, summed, then divided by attempted credits. Weighted, cumulative, and conversion tools state which courses and scales they include, and every result can be checked by hand from the worked example on the same page. Automated tests cover the calculation engines so a change to one tool cannot silently alter another.

How the guides are written and reviewed

Guides start from a specific student question, such as how a repeated course or a pass/fail grade affects a GPA. Claims about a school, application service, or country are checked against that organization's current published policy and cited in the article. Each guide shows a review date, and we re-open an article when a cited policy or a site tool changes. Our Editorial Policy describes the source hierarchy and correction process in detail.

How the site is funded

The tools are free and do not require an account. The site may display ads served by Google to cover hosting and maintenance. Advertising does not influence calculator formulas, guide conclusions, or which schools are mentioned.

Independence and limitations

This site is not affiliated with a school, admissions office, transcript evaluator, scholarship provider, or government agency. Calculator results are estimates, not official transcript calculations or admission predictions. Students should confirm decisions with the institution that owns the applicable policy.

Privacy and data handling

Calculator entries are processed in the browser and are not sent to our server. The full explanation is available in the Privacy Policy.
